Recently I have begun sewing again, something I have enjoyed doing since I was a girl. My mother helped me make my first dress when I was 10 years old. I am sure that somewhere I have a black and white photo, but who knows where! :-)
My journey back actually began in July. Pattern Review was having a contest called "Fabric Stash". I entered and made three tops. One of them I modified and I had never done that before so it was a big step. I enjoyed the challenge and was pleased with the end result.
After those projects I broke off again for a while but I have just begun a top that is going to be super. I love the pattern I am using and the fabric. The buttons are vintage and were in a bag I purchased through Tophatter Auctions. Which I thought would be for my scrapbook projects.
The reason this project will be "super" is that I am going to take my time and sew carefully and not get in a rush to finish it "now" A bad habit I have.
